MARIA LAURA ARLOTTI
Maria Laura Arlotti (Rome 1955 - Rome 2018), Co-founder of ABDR Architetti Associati.
She graduated in Rome in 1984 and she was Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies in New York in 1980.
From 1990 to 1993 she was a scholarship-holder at “Fondazione Basso” in the research program “Development and Duality of Life in the Modern Metropolitan Structure”.
She specialized in Bioecological Architecture at the ANAB (National Association of Bio-ecological Architecture) in Florence in 1994. She got a Ph.D in “Bioecological Architecture and Sustainable Technologies for the Environment” and presented her Doctoral Research in Environmental Design in 1999 at the Department ITACA (Industrial Design, Architecture Technology and Environmental Culture) of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
She has been Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University “Roma Tre” from 2001 to 2006.

Michele Beccu (Cagliari 1952), Co-founder, sole managing director and technical chief of ABDR Architetti Associati.
He graduated in Rome in 1980, and from 1981 to 1993 he has been Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of both the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and the University of Pescara.
From 2001 to 2015 he has been Associate Professor of Architectural and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic of Bari, and is actually Full Professor (since 2020) at the Department of Architecture at the University of Rome “Roma Tre”, previously Associate Professor.
He is member of the teaching body of the joint research doctorate in “Architecture: heritage and innovation”. He has been technical architectural and landscape consultant at the Municipalities of Rome and Lecce and at the Province of Foggia.
He carries out a regular research activity and is author of many essays and monographs, such as: Tre cantieri romani. Costruire nell'esistente tra storia e innovazione ed. PAOLO DESIDERI
Paolo Desideri (Rome 1953). Co-founder of ABDR Architetti Associati. He has been managing director and technical chief up to march 2019.
He graduated in architecture in Rome in 1980 and in the same year, he has been visiting scholar at the Institute for Architecture in New York(USA). He is Full Professor since 1985 and since 2000 he is Full Professor of Architectural Design at the School of Architecture of the University of Rome “Roma Tre”, where he is Coordinator of the Doctorate in Landscapes of the Contemporary City.
He has been Visiting Professor in many Schools of Architecture, among them the Washington University (Seattle, Usa), the Bauhaus (Dessau, Germany); the Faculty of Architecture of Rome “La Sapienza”, the Bildende Kunst Akademie (Wien, Austria); the Waterloo University (Toronto, Canada), the University of Novisad (Novisad, Serbia). From 1998 to 2002 he has been Coordinator for the Analysis Unit of the Department for Development and Cohesion Policies of the Italian Ministry of Treasury, Budget and Economic Planning. He has been Co-director of “Gomorra. Lands and Cultures of the Contemporary City” from 1998 to 2002. Since 2016 he is member of the Scientific Committee of Industria Italiana delle Costruzioni.
He is author of numerous critical and theoretical texts of architectural and urban design, among them: Pier Luigi Nervi, published by Zanichelli; Città di latta, published by Meltemi; Ex-city, published by Meltemi; International Style?, published by Meltemi; La città senza luoghi, published by Costa&Nolan; Attraversamenti: i nuovi territori dello spazio pubblico, published by Costa&Nolan.
 
FILIPPO RAIMONDO
FILIPPO RAIMONDO
Filippo Raimondo (Cefalù, 1953), Co-founder and technical chief of ABDR Architetti Associati.
He graduated in Rome in 1980 and in the same year he has been Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies in New York (USA). He has been professor at the “Istituto Europeo di Design” (IED) in Rome and, later, contract professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Camerino in Ascoli Piceno. Since 1997 he is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Pescara, University G. D’Annunzio, where he currently is Associate Professor in Urban and Architectural Design.
He held many lessons, workshops and conferences at the major cultural institutes and universities in Italy and abroad. From 1995 to 1997 he has been lecturer in the “Progetto Italia” at the Istituto Italo-Latino Americano (IILA) in Rome. He is author of several essays and specialist texts. A vast collection of his writings was published in Le Rragioni della Forma, edited by Sala Editori.
